The founders of Skype and Kazaa are reportedly in talks with Channel 4 in the United Kingdom to supply content to their new Internet television venture. The project, codenamed The Venice Project, a video download service that delivers streaming video on demand over the Internet, is expected to launch in 2007, according to the Times Online. Janus Friis and Niklas Zennstr?m, who made an estimated $2.5 billion from the sale of the Internet telephony service Skype to eBay last year, are behind the project. Mr. Friis and Mr. Zennstr?m also co-founded the file-sharing site Kazaa, which they sold to Australia-based Sharman Networks. The two now divide their time between Skype and launching the new Internet TV venture.
